'Inner Sanctum' Opens at the Mystic Museum of Art

Mystic, CT –  Mystic Museum of Art (MMoA) announces the opening of INNER SANCTUM next week.  The exhibition, which is sponsored by StoneRidge Senior Living Community, will be on view in the MMoA galleries August 5th – September 17th, from 11 am to 5pm daily.

INNER SANCTUM is a solo exhibition of oil paintings by Sarah Stifler Lucas, the 1st prize winner of last year's Annual Regional Show. Lucas received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1970 and has maintained her studio in CT since 1973, living currently in Stonington. Her subject matter focuses on café interiors and street scenes as well as commissioned portraits. She has been an Elected Artist member of the MMoA since 1975 and holds memberships in many art organizations. Her work is exhibited nationally, and among her many honors are awards from Allied Artists of America, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, Salmagundi Club NY, New Haven Paint and Clay Club and the Annual CT Artists Exhibition.
