New England Science & Sailing Offers Training Courses

Stonington, CT – The New England Science & Sailing Foundation (NESS) is offering a variety of programs that will help youth and adults get certified for their summer jobs. The nonprofit has organized a special week (April 16-21) for anyone in the area who may need certification, re-certification, or training for their upcoming summer job or on-the-water adventures.

These courses are open to the public, but advanced registration is required. Stonington Program Director Mary Ann Horrigan said, "As we continue our preparations for boating season, we are looking for ways that we can help our community members get ready for another safe season of summer programs and camps. NESS has many staff members who are professional safety trainers and instructors. We look forward to sharing their expertise with the community!"
