South Fork Wind has completed installation of more than six of its 12 turbines, reaching the significant halfway milestone for construction of America’s first utility-scale offshore wind farm in federal waters. As you know, turbines for the project are being staged and assembled at New London State Pier in Connecticut. The milestone comes roughly a month after South Fork Wind made history as the first utility-scale offshore wind farm in federal waters to begin powering up. The six turbines are commissioned and already delivering power to the Long Island grid.
