Eugene O’Neill Theater Center announces talent for the return of its Winter Cabaret Series

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center is thrilled to announce the Broadway stars, O’Neill favorites, and more, who will take the stage to perform festive holiday shows during its second Winter Cabaret Series. Once again programmed by Grammy and Emmy Award-Winner John McDaniel, Artistic Director of the O’Neill’s Cabaret & Performance Conference, the series will add a fifth performance and run from December 13th through December 17th.

"After a successful debut last season, Winter Cabaret is back!” McDaniel said. “How joyous to celebrate the season once again with our terrific audiences at the O'Neill. We've expanded to five nights this year and have invited some sensational talent, so grab your eggnog, your seasonal sweater, and come along to enjoy some wonderful shows!”

The 2023 Winter Cabaret line-up is as follows:

  • Jeff Harnar in Homeward Bound: Songs of the Season (Dec. 13): Award-winning New York cabaret and concert artist Jeff Harnar taps into a diverse selection of holiday favorites and surprises to paint a portrait of the nostalgia, hope, yearning and joy of the season. The featured songwriters range from Irving Berlin, Jule Styne, Sammy Cahn, and Cole Porter, to Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Carole King, and the Beatles. At the piano and joining Jeff in song is multi-award winning music director Christopher Denny.
  • Christine Pedi in Snow Bizness (Dec. 14): Well, do you hear what I hear? Longtime SiriusXM radio personality & music theater powerhouse Christine Pedi (Chicago, Forbidden Broadway, Newsical the Musical) conjures all of them up in her joyful and triumphant SNOW BIZNESS! With a voice as big as the sea (and a tale as big as a kite) she ushers in the holiday season with her award-winning comedic flair, spot on impressions, and songs of good cheer. Let nothing you dismay, you’ll find comfort and joy as you fall on your knees with laughter!
  • Debbie and Sam Gravitte in Concert (Dec. 15): Join Tony Award-winner Debbie Gravitte along with her son, Sam Gravitte, a recent Fiyero in the hit Broadway musical, Wicked, for an evening in which mother and son celebrate all things holiday. Sam and Debbie sing, laugh, carry on, and even ask YOU to join in! With Grammy & Emmy Award-winner John McDaniel at the piano, happy holidays indeed!!!
  • Darius de Haas in Let Me Carry You This Christmas (Dec. 16): Celebrate the season with a veteran of Broadway, The National Symphony, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall. One of the finest voices in the world, Darius will delight with Let Me Carry You This Christmas, named for his romantic and popular recording. You’ve enjoyed his voice on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel - now is your chance to experience him in person!
  • Karen Mason and John McDaniel in We Need a Little Christmas! (Dec. 17): Broadway veteran Karen Mason (Sunset Boulevard, Hairspray, & Mamma Mia!) joins forces with our own Artistic Director, John McDaniel, to create a joyous musical celebration of the Holidays! The two have been friends for decades, which is astounding since they’re both in their early 30s. Get yourselves in the holiday spirit, and join us for this terrific and heartwarming show!

Performances will take place at 7pm in the Rufus and Margo Rose Barn Theater. General admission tickets are $40, and table seating is available at a higher price.
