Art Exhibit Takes Flight at the Groton-New London Airport

The Cultural Coalition is pleased to announce the Art at the Airport program's Fall exhibit, ‘Alchemical Equations’ presented by Ben Parker. The exhibit is free and on view from October 4th to December 31st at the Groton - New London Airport in the airport’s main terminal located at 155 Tower Avenue in Groton.

Parkers’ exhibit, ‘Alchemical Equations,’ explores the transformational nature of paper brought by a distinct combination of math and origami.

‘Origami is a fascinating discipline. To its practitioners, it presents an unparalleled challenge to the mind and body, and the knowledge that can be unlocked by pushing the limits of what is possible with a single sheet of paper never ceases to amaze. The study is ancient, yet modern science is just beginning to reveal its full potential...These aspects of origami have held my interest for a very long time, and I do not expect that to change.’ Ben Parker

An opening reception and artist talk will be held Friday, October 4th from 5-7 p.m.

Groton - New London Airport's terminal is open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for public viewing of the exhibit. Parking is easily accessible and free.
