NESS APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR TO BOARD
 
 
STONINGTON, CT – New England Science & Sailing Foundation (NESS) is pleased to announce the election of Yvette Ramos, Ed.D., MBA, to its Board of Directors.
 
Yvette Ramos, Ed.D., MBA, is a credentialed bilingual high school Math and Science educator, test preparation expert, and administrator with 28 years of experience in public and private schools. As a Curriculum & Instruction Specialist, Dean of Academics and Instruction, Principal, and Superintendent, she has worked with, supervised, and trained educators to deliver high-quality instruction to students of all abilities.
 
 
Dr. Ramos specializes in curriculum design and has a passion for helping English Language Learners succeed through quality and culturally appropriate instruction. She helped bring a group of international prep schools to the Texas-Mexico border through a partnership with Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico, worked on obtaining their accreditation, and created partnerships with colleges and universities to establish internship and exchange program opportunities for the student body.
 
“Dr. Ramos brings a wealth of highly valuable and relevant experience to NESS,” Dr. Eric Isselhardt, NESS CEO, stated. “Her contributions as a board member will help NESS grow and impact even more students. We are delighted she has joined us.”
 
Dr. Ramos has served on several boards and is currently the Chief Academic Officer and CEO of Innovative Learning Consultants, an education company specializing in curriculum design and development and differentiated instruction. Her mission is to help make exceptional educational opportunities available to all students and professionals to enrich their learning journey, a personal mission closely aligned with NESS.

New England Science & Sailing is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization that uses sailing, marine science, powerboating, and ocean adventure sports as experiential learning platforms to increase K-12 academic outcomes.
