Southeastern CT Enterprise Region Announces Opening of New PTAP Office
The Milford Office of Economic and Community Development was instrumental in securing the location for the office. Director Julie Nash is pleased to welcome PTAP to the city stating, “This is a phenomenal growth opportunity for small business throughout Milford and the region.”
The counselor in charge of the new location, Frank Dixon, began his professional career with 20+ years in the US Army as an Air Defense leader. He graduated from Strayer University with a BSBA and has held senior level management positions as a Production and Manufacturing Manager, Government & International Business Development Manager as well as a Trainer and Business Strategic Planning Consultant. Industries include Aerospace, Automotive, Military, Medical Device, Construction and Card Personalization with firms that include Sikorsky Aircraft (UTC), Jacobs Vehicle Systems (Danaher Corp) and AnaComp. Mr. Dixon’s other recognitions include: Verification Counselor, Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE), Department of Veteran Affairs; Level 1 –Understanding Government Contracting, Defense Acquisition University (DAU); Negotiating Solutions, Mattford Group and Business Acquisition Management, United Technologies Corp.

New London – Stephen MacKenzie, Executive Director of the Southeastern CT Enterprise Region (seCTer), and Mayor Benjamin Blake announced today that The Connecticut Procurement Technical Assistance Program (CT PTAP) has opened an office in Milford’s Parsons Government Center. CT PTAP's mission is to provide marketing and procurement assistance to Connecticut businesses interested in selling their goods or services to federal, state, or local governments. CT PTAP is a statewide program administered by seCTer, serving all cities and towns in Connecticut, and is a free service funded by federal and state dollars. According to Statewide Program Director, Lisa Wood, “The Milford location provides a great opportunity to reach businesses in the area who want to pursue government contracts, and is a great complement to our offices located in New Haven, Rocky Hill and New London.”
