The NESS Online Holiday Art Show Features Works by Local Artists, Artisans, and Vendors

The New England Science & Sailing Foundation (NESS) announcing their Holiday Online Art Show. The show displays the works from over 35 local artists, artisans, and vendors.

Featured in the show are not only arts, crafts, and jewelry from local artists and artisans, but six local vendors will be offering discounts on their wares when shoppers mention NESS at checkout or use an online promotional code. These vendors include Pup Stop, Lindberg Designs, Maggie Lee Designs, Yali Stonington, Two Bees Design Studio, and Shades of Mystic.

Local art instructor Erica Lindberg Gourd, Founder & President of Lindberg Designs, is the organizer of the art show. She says, "Artists typically engage in joyful learning through the process of creating new works, and the NESS Holiday Online Art show is an opportunity to support education at NESS while sharing artworks to a broader audience. It is a collaboration based on the premise that we can do more together and are happy to do so."

Proceeds from the art sales will benefit all of NESS's programs including their Online Experiential Learning courses designed for engaged in-home learning and the NESS Shore Support Program that keeps hybrid students focused on learning with STEM programs when at NESS on their non-school days—both crucial for students in these difficult times.

Local artist and President of NESS, Spike Lobdell has pieces featured in the show. "This is a great opportunity to support the NESS mission while also supporting some great local artists and shops. It's a fantastic venue for all art lovers to find some truly unique holiday gifts and give back to the community," says Lobdell.

Participating artists will receive 60% and NESS will receive 40% of the proceeds of the items sold.

The show begins at noon on November 19 and ends at 8:00 p.m. on December 17.
