The Eastern Connecticut Workforce Investment Board (EWIB) is a non-profit agency under the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) that oversees workforce funding and policy for 41 towns in Eastern Connecticut. In partnership with the CT Department of Labor, EWIB operates three American Job Centers, offering no-cost services to businesses and jobseekers, including recruitment, training, and HR support. EWIB manages award-winning programs like the Manufacturing and Healthcare Pipelines, aligning workforce skills with employer needs, and collaborates with industry leaders to drive economic growth.

Joelle Garrett, a Business Services Representative with extensive workforce development experience, supports EWIB initiatives by assisting employers with recruitment, job fairs, and workforce solutions to strengthen the region's economic vitality.
