Charter Oak Federal Credit Union is looking to hire an experienced mortgage loan processor (minimum 3-years) who can successfully process and close all types of mortgages.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Process residential mortgage loans such as FHA, Conventional, USDA, CHFA and Home Equity Loans
- Obtain, review and prepare required loan documentation and submit complete loan packages to Underwriting for approval
- Manage a pipeline of loans and maintain timely and compliant flow of such loans through the process
- Frequently communicate with borrowers, attorneys, appraisers, mortgage officers and underwriters
- Obtain and verify that all underwriting conditions are received and cleared by the underwriter and prepare the file for submission to Closing
- Work with the attorneys on loans that are ready to close and prepare closing documents, fund loans and complete post-closing audits
- Understand and apply local, state, and federal regulations related to processing mortgage loans
