Tucked away off a country road among 155 acres of rolling hills and meadows – yet conveniently located just one mile north of exit 91off I-95 – is one of Southeastern Connecticut’s premier golf clubs. The club’s focus is on maintaining a beautifully designed and meticulously manicured golf course while at the same time offering players of all levels a fair but challenging golfing experience. Our PGA professionals provide instruction for all age groups, and amenities include a handsome clubhouse, catered dining, full-service bar, tennis and platform tennis, and extensive practice facilities. Stonington Country Club was founded in 1988 on the premise that the quality of the game it delivers is paramount – we call it Ready Golf. Ready Golf means: - No tee times required, except on the busiest summer holidays. - The course is accessible to members seven days a week. On occasional Mondays during the spring and the fall, the course is reserved in the afternoons for local charity sponsored tournaments; the course is still open to members for part of the day. Members choose to walk or ride, play 9 or 18 holes, each time they play. The course was designed to be very walkable and playable within the prescribed USGA time parameters. Members enjoy, too, the ambiance that complements the golfing experience – men’s and women’s league play, tournaments and social golf outings, theme dinners, holiday cocktail parties and luncheons throughout the year.
