9th Annual Sun Whiskey Union Returns to Mohegan Sun

WHAT: Guests are invited to experience the art of whiskey at the 9th Annual Sun Whiskey Union, where the proof is in the pour! This year’s festivities also include a special Spirits & Cigars event inside the Clay Pipe Cigar Bar.

IN DETAIL: On Saturday, April 19th, from 8:00pm-11:00pm, the Earth Ballroom is set to transform into a connoisseur’s paradise, offering an exquisite selection of top-shelf whiskey, scotch, bourbon and rye at the 9th Annual Sun Whiskey Union. Engage with distillery representatives and delight in live music from Locals Live 2024 contestant Mad Hatter Band. Complimentary, mouthwatering bites like Maple Bourbon Pulled Chicken Sliders from House of BBQ & Bacon and delectable, alcohol inspired treats like The Beast from NoRa Cupcake Company which features chocolate cake, cognac caramel filling, and chocolate frosting are included in every ticket purchase.

Guests who attend Sun Whiskey Union can stop by the Mohegan Sun Online Casino Signature Cocktail Bar featuring Phil Wills from Bar Rescue and Dimitrios “The Cocktail Chemist” Zahariadis. Those who download the Mohegan Sun Online Casino app and place a $5 wager on any game can try one of four signature cocktail options and enter for a chance to win a gift box from the Connecticut Distilling Company! Before Sun Whiskey Union, guests can take part in a sophisticated pairing session at Spirits & Cigars: Mohegan Sun Select Whiskeys from 6:00pm – 8:00pm in Clay Pipe Cigar Bar. Those in attendance will sip on a carefully selected array of top-notch spirits from Mohegan Sun’s Limited Barrel Select Program, including Elijah Craig, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Wilderness Trail Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, Teeling Irish Whiskey, Westland Single Malt American Whiskey, Great Jones Bourbon, Old Forester Bourbon, Rittenhouse Rye, South County Chocolate Rye, Woodford Reserve, and others. A complimentary proprietary cigar, infused with a private barrel spirit is included. A la carte infused cigars will be available for purchase while supplies last. Attendees will discover the subtle notes, aromas, and complexities of both the spirits & cigars, designed to complement one another perfectly.

Tickets to both events are on sale now via ticketmaster.com and the Mohegan Sun Box Office, subject to availability. Prices are subject to increase the day of the event. A portion of ticket sales will also go to support the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut. Guests must be 21 years of age of older to attend Sun Whiskey Union.
