Applications Now Open for 2026 HBRA Charitable Foundation Scholarship

The HBRA of the Connecticut River Region Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce that scholarship applications for the 2026 awards are now open. This year we are proud to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the HBRA Scholarship program. Annually, the Foundation awards scholarships to individuals pursuing higher education, and we invite you to share this opportunity with your employees and their families. 

Eligible applicants must be a member, an employee, or a family member (son, daughter, or grandchild) of a current HBRA member in good standing, and must be enrolling in a college or university, technical/vocational/community college, or graduate school. There are up to fifteen (15) scholarships of 1,000 dollars each available for 2026.

The completed application package must include: the application form, a brief essay (not to exceed one page) explaining why the applicant should be awarded the scholarship, past work experience and outlining educational goals, at least one letter of reference, and a copy of the applicant’s high school or college transcript. All materials must be submitted in full by April 10, 2026, either by mail to HBRA of the Connecticut River Region, 2189 Silas Deane Hwy., Rocky Hill, CT 06067-2324, Attention: Eric Person, or by email to eric@hbractriverregion.com.

Scholarship awards will be announced on May 8, 2026, and presented at the HBRA Past Presidents’ and Scholarship Night at the Hartford Yard Goats game. This scholarship is awarded for one year; students who have applied for or received this scholarship in the past are eligible to apply again.
