(Pictured: L - Kristin Zummo, R - Holly DePerry) Charter Oak Federal Credit Union is delighted to announce that Kristin Zummo has been appointed as the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer and Holly DePerry as the new Chief Lending Officer, following the recent retirements of several executives including John Dolan, Laurie Cormier, and Jeanne Mikula. “We are excited to welcome Kristin and Holly into these key leadership roles,” said Craig J. Knell, President and CEO of Charter Oak Federal Credit Union. “Kristin brings strong operational leadership and a people-first approach, and Holly’s deep lending expertise will help us continue to strengthen the way we support our members and local businesses,” he said. Most recently, Zummo was Vice President of Human Resources at Hartford HealthCare, and prior, she held human resources and operational leadership roles at Collins Aerospace, Chelsea Groton Bank, and Electric Boat. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Messiah University and a master’s degree in organizational leadership and human resources from Mansfield University. She currently resides in East Lyme, where she is an active volunteer in the East Lyme school district and supports financial institutions by facilitating leadership development courses in partnership with the Connecticut Banker’s Association. DePerry joined Charter Oak’s Business Lending Department in 2017 and has extensive business lending experience across eastern Connecticut and southern Rhode Island. Over the course of her tenure, she has demonstrated strong leadership, credit expertise, and a deep commitment to member service. She previously served as the credit union’s Assistant Vice President of Business Lending and was later promoted to Vice President of Business Lending in 2021, reflecting her significant contributions to the growth and performance of the portfolio. DePerry attended Central Connecticut State University concentrating in business administration and completed advanced training through the Center for Financial Training Commercial Lending School. She is a 2020 graduate of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut’s Leadership Program. In addition to her professional accomplishments, DePerry is actively engaged in the community. She currently serves as the Treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation and remains involved in a variety of civic and community initiatives throughout the region Charter Oak Federal Credit Union is like a bank, just better!
