Chelsea Groton Bank Marks Anniversary with $51,000 in Community Donations

Chelsea Groton Bank celebrated 172 years of serving the communities of southeastern Connecticut on July 3. In honor of this milestone and America’s 250th, all Bank team members were invited to select a non-profit organization to be the recipient of a $250 donation from the Chelsea Groton Foundation through the Acts of Kindness program. Through this year’s initiative, $51,000 was donated to 132 organizations in the community whose causes are meaningful to Chelsea Groton’s 200-plus team members.

"The Acts of Kindness program empowers our team to support the organizations they care deeply about, creating a meaningful and lasting impact across the communities we serve. This year, in honor of America’s 250th, we were proud to support our employees’ favorite organizations by giving in an even bigger way. It’s inspiring to see how these individual contributions come together to make a real difference."

Over $326,000 has been donated to the community through Chelsea Groton’s Acts of Kindness program since it began in 2014. Local organizations receiving donations include those whose missions support health and human services, arts and culture, animal welfare, education, and more.
