Coming to The Garde Arts Center: iLuminate

Garde Arts Center is proud to announce that iLuminate will perform on the Garde Stage at 325 State Street in New London on Friday, April 18, 2025 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $29-$75 plus fees, and are available at https://gardearts.org/events/iluminate/.

The New London Public Schools, in partnership with the Garde Arts Center, New London Youth Affairs, and the New London Education Foundation is once again sponsoring Passport to Literacy, an exciting initiative for all third-grade students in the NLPS.

All 3rd grade students who reach their reading goals will be rewarded with free tickets to iLuminate on Friday, April 18th at 8pm for themselves and two family members!

iLuminate has been a household name since we were called “The BEST NEW ACT in America!” during our run on America’s Got Talent in 2011. Maybe you saw us on TV or heard about us through one of our international appearances or saw our Live show in the heart of New York City. No matter how you found us, we’re just glad you did!

iLuminate is a company based on the fusion of technology and dance. This distinct intermix will reawaken your senses and imagination! We are a diverse team of experts and together we create a visual experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

Audiences will see dancers in electrified glow-in-the-dark suits performing dynamic routines and illusions on a darkened stage. It’s a show that’s completely unique to our brand and incomparable to any other dance performance.

iLuminate is the brainchild of Miral Kotb, a woman whose true passions in life are dance and software engineering, which is why you’ll see her both manning the keyboard and dancing on stage in our archive of video performances (which you absolutely should check out).

In 2009, Miral combined her two passions to create our patented iLuminate technology, the tool that enables performers, choreographers, engineers, technicians, stylists and artistic directors to produce explosive performances with customized wireless lighting programs. The results are extraordinary lighting effects choreographed with phenomenal dance moves that take viewers on an exhilarating ride.

You may have seen iLuminate technology in shows around the world — from Cairo to Malaysia and the United States to Hong Kong, we are racking up our mileage points.

We’ve been on TV shows like Dancing with the Stars, the X-Factor, Good Morning America, The Wendy Williams Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. As well as The American Music Awards, MTV’s Video Music Awards, BET Awards, The Nickelodeon Awards, Billboard, and Latin Billboard Awards.

About The Garde Arts Center: 

Founded in 1985, The Garde, Southeastern Connecticut’s non-profit home for the performing arts and cinema, in the heart of downtown New London, CT, presents a full spectrum of music, dance, film, and special events at its restored historic (1926) 1425-seat Garde Theater movie palace and the 120-seat Oasis Room. The Garde also hosts performances by regional arts organizations and provides educational programs for more than 8,000 young people each year. Under the leadership of Steve Sigel, executive director since 1988,  the Garde owns an “arts block” of adjacent buildings, including the Mercer and Meridian Buildings and the Garde cottage, to further the Garde's mission as a major catalyst for the cultural and economic revitalization of New London and the region.
