Community Foundation of Eastern CT's 2026 Scholarship Applications Now Open

The 2026 scholarship cycle is now open, offering more than $1 million in scholarships to support students across eastern Connecticut pursue college, technical, and career training programs.

📌 Deadline: Wednesday, April 22, 2026

📌 Who can apply: Students graduating from high schools in the Foundation's 42-town service area as well as adult learners residing in the region.

Each scholarship has its own eligibility criteria, which may include town of residence, high school attended, and intended field of study. A few examples are highlighted below:


  • The Skip Thavenet Scholarship supports students who are pursuing technical, trade, or certification programs, with a preference for industrial arts such as welding, manufacturing and construction management programs.
  • The Take Note! Antonia Brancia Memorial Scholarship supports students who are pursuing post-secondary studies in music or music education.
  • The Patricia K. Drake Scholarship supports students of color who are residents of New London and are interested in pursuing degrees in health and human services.
