The Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling (CCPG) is pleased to announce the appointments of Jennifer Park, Brian Dolan, and Sandra Violette to its Board of Directors. These accomplished leaders bring extensive experience in behavioral health, public service, healthcare, and community leadership that will further strengthen CCPG's mission to reduce gambling-related harm through prevention, education, advocacy, and support. Jennifer Park, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University. She joins the Board with a strong background in behavioral health and community collaboration. Throughout her career, she has published several scientific articles and book chapters on the neurobiology, treatment, and public health implications of behavioral addictions and related psychiatric concerns, with her work being recognized by multiple international research awards. She has demonstrated a commitment to improving access to care, fostering partnerships, and advancing initiatives that promote healthier communities. Her experience and leadership will help guide CCPG as it continues expanding prevention and public awareness efforts across Connecticut. Brian Dolan brings significant leadership experience and a longstanding commitment to public service. His strategic perspective, collaborative approach, and dedication to improving community outcomes will provide valuable insight as CCPG continues to strengthen its statewide initiatives, partnerships, and advocacy efforts. Sandra Violette, MSW, BA, LADC, CCHP is a nationally recognized leader in correctional behavioral health, addiction treatment, and workforce development with more than 20 years of experience in the criminal justice and behavioral health fields. During her career with the Connecticut Department of Correction, Sandra served as Director of Addiction Treatment, where she led the implementation of Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) programs, and expanded statewide initiatives focused on overdose prevention, recovery support, and continuity of care for justice-involved individuals. She currently provides training, consultation, and clinical supervision through Reentry Resources Counseling, LLC, helping organizations throughout New England implement evidence-based practices and strengthen professional competency. Sandra also serves as a surveyor for the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), partnering with correctional systems nationwide to support accreditation efforts and improve correctional healthcare and substance use treatment services.
