The Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling in partnership with the CT State Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services-Problem Gambling Services (DMHAS PGS) is seeking applications from five non-profit organizations to participate in the new 2026-2027 Multicultural Problem Gambling Prevention Program. The program aims to support cultural communities at higher risk of experiencing gambling-related harm, such as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), Asian Americans, LGBTQIA+ individuals, veterans, and Latino/Latina/Latine populations. Selected organizations will receive funding to design culturally adapted prevention activities, host community conversations, increase access to translated materials, promote and disseminate “Know the Risks” campaign, and build community capacity through the establishment of gambling awareness committees. CCPG will offer technical assistance, training, resources, and support. The grant period runs from August 28, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Applications must be received by August 03, 2026, with notifications of awards by August 28, 2026.
