Dominion Foundation Awards Senior Nutrition Grant to TVCCA

The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has awarded $4,000 to Thames Valley Council for Community Action (TVCCA) to help provide a portion of the 275,000 meals the agency will serve to area seniors in the coming year.

“This support from Dominion Energy directly strengthens our ability to help seniors age in place,” said Eugene Theroux, TVCCA’s Director of Nutrition. “As health and mobility decline, many older adults lose the networks they rely on. Dominion’s investment helps us step in with daily nutrition and vital wellness checks for the people who need them most.”

TVCCA’s Senior Nutrition Program offers two core services: Meals on Wheels for homebound or disabled residents—delivered with a daily, one-on-one wellness check—and Congregate dining, where active older adults enjoy freshly prepared lunches and social connection at local Senior Centers.

“Dominion’s continued partnership allows us to meet both the nutritional and social needs of thousands of seniors across our region,” Theroux added. “Their support makes a real difference every single day.”
