Local Wireless Zone Stores Donate Over $45,500 to Area Nonprofits in First Quarter



Local Wireless Zone Verizon Authorized Retailer stores, through the Wireless Zone Gives Foundation, donated more than $45,500 to community organizations during the first quarter of the year, continuing the company’s commitment to supporting the communities where its employees and customers live and work.
The donations benefited a wide range of organizations throughout Eastern Connecticut and the surrounding region, supporting education, healthcare, food programs, youth organizations, community events, and services for families and individuals in need.
Organizations receiving support during the first quarter included Acton Public Library Foundation; Brian C Moran Memorial Inc.; Child & Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut; East Lyme Giving Garden; Jewish Federation of Eastern Connecticut; Lawrence + Memorial Hospital; Mystic Aquarium; Mystic Irish Parade Foundation; New London Homeless Hospitality Center; Ocean Community Chamber Foundation; Pine Point School; Safe Futures; Sails Up for Cancer; Sounded Warrior, Antham Sports; Special Olympics Connecticut; Temple Emanu-El; Thames Valley Council for Community Action; The Arc Eastern Connecticut; The Big Red Memorial Fund; Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra; and Wings of Freedom Animal Rescue.
“We believe strongly in supporting the communities where we live and work,” said Neil Ryan of Wireless Zone.

Wireless Zone stores raise funds throughout the year through community events, in-store fundraising campaigns, and company donations from every sale, with the goal of making a meaningful impact in the communities they serve.
