Regional Chamber Appoints New Business Development Manager

New hire to bolster Chamber’s efforts in advocacy and development.

New London, CT - The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephanie Clark as its new Business Development Manager. In this role, Clark will oversee membership recruitment and retention, while also supporting the Chamber’s initiatives in member advocacy and economic development.

Clark, a New London County native now residing in Pawcatuck, is an accomplished relationship manager who brings extensive experience in market leadership development and brand awareness. She is a graduate of Simmons College in Boston, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She spent several years living in Raleigh, North Carolina, before returning to southeastern Connecticut in 2008 to raise her family. Her career spans impressive roles with technology companies IBM, Cisco, and most recently VMware, where she worked with analysts to strategize and earn credibility in competitive markets – often remotely, allowing her to collaborate with national and global teams.

Outside of her office duties, Clark has served as a former member of the Chorus of Westerly and the Stonington Democratic Town Committee, and is an active member of the Stewardship Committee at Christ Episcopal Church of Westerly, RI.

I’m pleased to embrace my long-standing roots in this region and look forward to working directly with members—helping them access valuable Chamber resources in order to succeed,” expresses Clark.

Building a sustainable business climate means ensuring businesses have the resources and environment they need to grow, innovate, and compete while preserving the qualities that make our state unique,” states Tony Sheridan, Chamber President and CEO.

Stephanie’s experience and dedication will be invaluable as we aim to deepen relationships with our members and further promote long-term strategies advancing Connecticut as a great place to live, work, and invest,” he concludes.

The Chamber employs 11 staff members at the Regional Innovation Center, located at 92 Eugene O’Neill Drive, New London. To learn more about membership and programming, visit ChamberECT.com.
