Regional Chamber Launches “Community Builders” Recognition
New spotlight series shines a light on the resilient families and businesses shaping eastern Connecticut.
Nationally, there are more than 32 million family businesses (Family Enterprise USA, 2021), and in Connecticut, small businesses specifically employ nearly half of the workforce (U.S. Small Business Administration, 2025). Locally, these organizations form the core of the region’s wellbeing. They employ our family members and friends. They support our communities through job creation, volunteerism, and property taxes, which in turn sustain important state and municipal services such as schools, police, fire prevention, and social services that all shape our quality of life.Additional Info
