Temporary Contract for Mid Oct 2025 - Mid Jan 2026
The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut is seeking proposals from qualified agencies/contractors/freelancers to provide temporary graphic design support during an approximately 12-week period, estimated mid-October 2025 through mid-January, 2026.
Scope of Work
The selected contractor will:
- Design digital graphics to promote and support Chamber events, programs, and membership
- Assemble and lay out the Chamber Foundation’s Holiday Gala program book (content, ads, and direction provided), as well as other event collateral which may include auction signage, posterboards, and slideshow.
- Create additional printed and digital materials as assigned (e.g., membership promotions, event collateral).
- Occasionally update or troubleshoot website content (Wordpress), which may include interfacing with domain host customer support (Dreamhost).
Expectations
- Adhere to Chamber brand guidelines (fonts, colors, photography library), with room for creative interpretation.
- Collaborate remotely with the Chamber’s Communications Manager, Event Manager, and Vice President; use of Chamber workspace is available if preferred.
- Manage fluctuating project-based hours and respond flexibly to varying workload. *Workload pre-Holiday Gala (December 12) is anticipated to be higher than post-Gala workload. Chamber office is expected to be closed or open limited hours December 24 to January 1*
- Deliver print-ready and digital-ready materials as required.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design for both print and digital media.
- Ability to prepare files for commercial printing.
- Familiarity with website content management and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong portfolio/samples of relevant work (required).
