Safe Futures Announces Rebranding of Donation Center

We are happy to share the exciting new name and design of our donation center that has been operating at Safe Futures in New London for over 40 years! Our dedicated staff submitted numerous name suggestions describing what our donation center means to them, the community, and most importantly to the victims and survivors of abuse that we serve. Nearly every name submission included the word “hope” which is why with much consideration, we are happy to announce the new name: The Hope Shoppe. The Hope Shoppe remains true to our mission serving clients of Safe Futures impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, trafficking, child abuse and elder abuse in southeastern Connecticut. Every year, Safe Futures serves 10,000 women, children and men who are dealing with abuse. Our free and confidential services include our 24-hour hotline, emergency crisis shelter, housing programs, walkin counseling services, criminal and civil court advocacy, child advocacy and prevention, and so much more. As we approach the holiday season, we invite the community to participate in our Annual Holiday Giving Program as we prepare holiday gifts for individuals and families in crisis. Your generosity makes the season brighter and the future more hopeful for victims of abuse when they are facing the most dangerous and challenging times in their lives. During this time, your gift of hope is priceless. Our teams are busy gathering Holiday Wish Lists which will be available online on our website beginning November 12, 2024, at safefuturesct.org/holidaygiving. We invite you to help bring hope to an individual or family in crisis. If you are interested in adopting a family or individual, please contact Darlene Hilbert at dhilbert@safefuturesct.org or call 860-447-0366 ext. 210. About Safe Futures: Safe Futures provides help, hope and above all, safety to those suffering from individual and family abuse. All our services are free and confidential.
