Safe Futures Welcomes Two New Members to Board of Directors

Safe Futures is pleased to announce the appointment of Theresa Donatelli and Kim Baker to our Board of Directors. These two new members join the Board of Directors at a pivotal time as the organization continues to expand our impact and advance our mission to support victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, trafficking, elder abuse, and child abuse in Southeastern Connecticut.

We are excited to welcome Theresa and Kim and share more about their leadership, experience, and dedication to our Southeastern Connecticut community:

Kim Baker is currently the Recording Secretary for the Mohegan Tribal Council. Prior to her term, Baker worked for the Tribe for more than 27 years in a variety of roles. She has been a longtime supporter of Safe Futures and has generously supported the Holiday Giving Program for many years, helping ensure local families have a brighter holiday season. Over the years, Baker has been on multiple boards and committees, including the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut, Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame, and the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence, among others. Baker is passionate about supporting victims of abuse and supporting Safe Futures’ mission.

Theresa Donatelli is a Senior Wealth Advisor at Principle Wealth. She joins the Board of Directors with over 30 years of financial services experience as well as a passion for educating the community about services available to victims and their families through Safe Futures. Her previous community engagement includes serving on the Board of Directors at St. Vincent de Paul Place in Norwich, CT, and being involved with the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, Montville School After School Running Program, Kelley’s Pace Adult 5K Training Program in Mystic, CT.
