Suisman Shapiro Welcomes Elizabeth Hillmon as Associate Attorney

Suisman Shapiro Attorneys-at-Law is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Hillmon has joined the firm as an Associate Attorney. Ms. Hillmon brings broad experience in litigation and commercial matters, along with a practical, business-minded approach to representing clients.

Before joining Suisman Shapiro, Ms. Hillmon managed a diverse litigation docket involving labor and employment matters, commercial disputes, administrative proceedings before Connecticut state agencies, personal injury, criminal defense, and municipal and union matters. She took primary responsibility for managing cases, advising clients, developing strategy, and navigating disputes through various stages of litigation and resolution.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Hillmon spent more than three years with Collins Aerospace as a Principal Contract Specialist in its Avionics and Space Systems business units, where she managed contract administration for major commercial aviation and aerospace programs. The experience provided her with valuable insight into contract matters and the business interests that can accompany complex legal issues.

Ms. Hillmon earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut and her J.D. from Western New England University School of Law, where she received CALI Awards for Excellence in Trial Methods and Insurance Law. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and before the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Ms. Hillmon is also active in the Connecticut legal community. She serves as Well-Being Director for the 2026–2027 Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, where she works to create practical and accessible opportunities for young attorneys to prioritize well-being and build meaningful professional connections.

Outside of her legal practice, Hillmon has a professional background in fitness modeling, including work on national commercial campaigns for athletic, fashion, and media companies. She is trained in STOTT Pilates and teaches Pilates in her community.
