TVCCA’s WIC Program Appoints New Director

Jamie Girvin has been promoted to Director of TVCCA’s WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program, which supports 3,300 families in New London County. Ms. Girvin has been Assistant Director of the program since 2021 and holds a BA in Nutritional Science and a MA in Public Health. Prior to joining TVCCA she was Program Coordinator at a regional food bank and Nutrition Coordinator at an area nursing home. “I’m so grateful for this opportunity,” said Ms. Girvin. “I have a great team, and we work well together. We’re all looking forward to augmenting our breastfeeding peer counseling initiative, and furthering collaborations with the agency’s early childhood programs and the new Family Bridge Program. There’s a lot to do but we’re all really excited.”
