The Thames Valley Council for Community Action (TVCCA) has been awarded $2,000 through Charter Oak Federal Credit Union’s Community Giving Grants Program to support the replacement of the water heater at its Bozrah Commissary/Senior Nutrition facility. This facility prepares and distributes meals to nearly 3,700 clients, including seniors participating in TVCCA’s Meals on Wheels and congregate dining programs, as well as over 800 children enrolled in TVCCA’s four Early Care and Education Centers. “The water heater upgrade was essential to sustaining the Early Childhood Education and Senior Nutrition programs,” said Eugene Theroux, Senior Nutrition Director. “These programs are among TVCCA’s largest and longest-running, with significant impacts on individual families and the broader community. Without the support of partners like Charter Oak Federal Credit Union, we would be unable to continue providing the meals that are a vital source of nutrition for the children and seniors we serve.” Media Contact : Penny Newbury | 860.425.6522 | pnewbury@tvcca.orgTVCCA Secures Funding to Support Senior Nutrition Program
