UCFS Healthcare Introduces Nightlight Pediatic Care

Effective January 6, 2025, UCFS Healthcare will expand our pediatric after-hours program to members of the community. For several months, UCFS pediatric providers have been providing after hours care to UCFS pediatric patients. With the success of this program, as well as the need for after-hours pediatric care in our community, we have decided to expand this program to members of our community.

When should I bring my child to after-hours care?

When symptoms persist and your child is experiencing discomfort, an after- hours visit might be needed. Our

Nightlight Pediatric program offers after hours pediatric care for many symptoms and acute conditions, including:

fevers, ear infections, sore throat/strep throat, urinary tract infections, nausea or vomiting, persistent cough, cold,

flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, sprained ankle, etc.


What are your hours of operation and location?

After hours walk-ins are welcome Monday-Friday 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm (except UCFS holidays)

Should I make an appointment?

No. We accept walk-ins, so no appointment is necessary.

Please note that we prioritize patients according to the severity of their health issues, ensuring that those with the

most urgent needs are seen first.


I am not a patient of UCFS can I still come to Nightlight Pediatrics?

Yes. You do not have to be a patient of UCFS to bring your child to our Nightlight Pediatrics program. UCFS staff

will follow up with your pediatrician within 24 hours to ensure continuity of care.

Please bring the following items to your appointment: insurance card, photo identification and a list of your child's

medications. If uninsured, please bring proof of income so our team can determine if you are eligible for our

sliding fee scale.


What insurances do you accept?

UCFS accepts most insurances including Medicaid and offers a sliding fee scale.


Who is on staff to see my child at Nightlight Pediatrics?

Newborns through the age of 18 are seen by a pediatrician, physician’s assistant or nurse practitioner who

specialize in pediatrics.
