United Airlines Begins Nonstop Service from Bradley International Airport to Houston

The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) is pleased to announce that United Airlines launched its inaugural nonstop flight from Bradley International Airport (BDL) to Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Texas this morning.

As of today, the new, year-round service operates daily on a Boeing 737 aircraft.

“This morning’s inaugural flight to Houston highlights United’s investment in our region, expanding travel options and connecting passengers seamlessly to their global network,” said Michael W. Shea, Executive Director & CEO of the CAA. “For nearly 80 years, United has been a valued partner at Bradley International Airport, and we appreciate their continued commitment to our community.”

In addition to exploring Houston, passengers will be able to connect to numerous destinations across the southern U.S., Mexico, and Latin America.

“This is an exciting day, we’re thrilled to offer nonstop year-round service between Bradley International Airport and Houston,” said Sam Levy, Senior Manager of Domestic Network Planning at United. “As we grow our presence in the region, we’re excited to provide the community with more nonstop flight offerings and access to a wide range of destinations across the southern U.S., Mexico, and Latin America through our IAH hub.”

In addition to the new route to Houston (IAH), United also flies from BDL to the airline’s hubs in Chicago (ORD), Denver (DEN), and Washington D.C. (IAD). In 2025, United served nearly 725,000 passengers at Bradley International Airport.
