New London — The day before the Fourth of July holiday, a short-sleeved Tony Sheridan navigated past a maze of donated furniture inside what will soon be the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut’s new downtown headquarters.
Sheridan, the chamber’s president and chief executive officer, roamed through the 8,300-square-foot former Merrill Lynch home at 92 Eugene O’Neill Drive pointing out the The Southeastern CT Cultural Coalition and the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT will be featured at the national Americans for the Arts 2020 Annual Convention and Public Art & Civic Design Conference. The Coalition's Executive Director Wendy Bury and the Chamber's President and CEO Tony Sheridan will co-present at a session highlighting the agencies' collaboration as part of the three-day virtual convention from June 23-25.

The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT Foundation awarded grants in excess of $94,000 in support of 37 programs that benefit children and families in the region on March 24, 2020.
