Delegation from Victoria, Australia meets with area business, education leaders at the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut/Regional Innovation Center Group tour region under AUKUS maritime security partnership
(NEW LONDON, CT, July 18, 2024) – A delegation from the Australian state of Victoria toured the region on Wednesday as part of their visit through the tri-nation security partnership between the U.S., United Kingdom, and Australia known as AUKUS.
AUKUS is intended to build business and A recent trip to view the first-ever utility-scale offshore wind farm in the United States, not far off the coast of Connecticut, recalled a boyhood dream to one day emigrate to America. I was about 12 or 13 years old, and I remember succinctly the excitement of hearing about the great things that happened in America. Visit Connecticut took over the famous Saddle Room restaurant in Dublin’s Shelbourne Hotel today, treating the Irish travel media to some high standard fare and a fine and tempting menu of reasons to visit one of the USA’s most inviting States.

Jelley to General Manager and Chief Operating Officer., effective August 28, 2023.
Deanna has worked at AHS since 2021, attending the Ace Handyman Franchise University for franchise owners in Denver, Colorado. She served as Office Manager and was soon elevated to Business Manager.in May of 2022. Deanna assumed more responsibilities during her tenure, as well as The Southeastern CT Cultural Coalition and the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT will be featured at the national Americans for the Arts 2020 Annual Convention and Public Art & Civic Design Conference. The Coalition's Executive Director Wendy Bury and the Chamber's President and CEO Tony Sheridan will co-present at a session highlighting the agencies' collaboration as part of the three-day virtual convention from June 23-25.

The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT Foundation awarded grants in excess of $94,000 in support of 37 programs that benefit children and families in the region on March 24, 2020.
