Dime Bank donates 150 Turkeys

For 150 years, Dime Bank has made good on its founders’ promise to always give back to the community; tomorrow, the Bank will take this commitment to a new level with the donation of 150 turkeys to the 97.7 WCTY Drive to End Hunger, benefitting the Thames Valley Council for Community Action & the Gemma E. Moran United Way Labor Food Bank.

The drive, which is held annually at the Big Y at 224 Salem Turnpike, collects food to be donated to the Gemma E. Moran United Way Labor Food Bank, which distributes the food to various pantries in the area.

"Since our inception, our commitment to the community has always gone far beyond banking,” said Nick Caplanson, Dime’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “At Dime, we traditionally refer to the holidays as the ‘The Season of Giving’ and we are thrilled to celebrate our anniversary together with the community with this donation.”

Dave Elder, Program Director at Hall Communications stated, "Dime’s commitment to the community is unwavering. I speak for everyone at WCTY in thanking everyone involved at Dime for their generous contribution this year and every year."
