Introducing the Connecticut Guardians of the Flame Association: A Unique Opportunity to Support Special Olympics Connecticut and Connecticut’s Law Enforcement Community

We're delighted to announce the Connecticut Guardians of the Flame Association, a new initiative that will support Special Olympics Connecticut and provide exclusive offers and promotions to its members from our generous partner businesses.

Connecticut Guardians of the Flame Association members are dedicated law enforcement officers, corrections officers, and first responders who are committed to supporting Special Olympics Connecticut. Through participation in the Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics program, members of the Connecticut Guardians of the Flame Association help to promote inclusion and the acceptance of individuals with intellectual disabilities, by supporting Special Olympics Connecticut's important programs and services. Through membership dues, the Connecticut Guardians of the Flame Association will contribute to Special Olympics Connecticut and support its mission to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

We are currently seeking businesses to become partners that offer benefits and discounts to our Connecticut Guardians of the Flame Association members. We encourage businesses that already offer military discounts to extend these benefits to members of the law enforcement community through the Connecticut Guardians of the Flame Association. By including law enforcement personnel in these existing programs, businesses can demonstrate their appreciation for the service and sacrifices made by our brave men and women in uniform.

Here are some examples of exclusive offers and discounts that a company could provide:

  • Retailers: Offer a specific percentage off on purchases made by our association members, both in-store and online.
  • Restaurants: Provide a complimentary appetizer or dessert with the purchase of a meal for members dining at their establishment.
  • Fitness Centers: Extend discounted membership rates to law enforcement members to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle.
  • Entertainment Venues: Offer reduced admission fees or ticket prices for association members and their families.
  • Hotels: Provide exclusive room rates for law enforcement personnel seeking accommodation during official or personal visits.
  • Travel Agencies: Create special travel packages with discounts for association members planning vacations or getaways.

Partnership with the Connecticut Guardians of the Flame Association offers a wide range of benefits, including:

  1. Make a Difference in the Lives of Special Olympics Athletes:  By becoming a member of the Connecticut Guardians of the Flame Association, businesses will play a vital role in transforming the lives of Special Olympics athletes. Through their support, our partners will contribute to creating a more inclusive society where individuals with intellectual disabilities are celebrated for their talents and accomplishments.

  1. Strengthen Community Bonds: By participating in this initiative, businesses will foster a stronger bond with the law enforcement community, demonstrating their commitment to the well-being of our state and its citizens. This association provides an opportunity for businesses to show their gratitude to the men and women who selflessly serve and protect our communities.

  1. Broaden Awareness of your Business: By offering exclusive offers and discounts for members you'll not only gain loyal customers but also play an active role in supporting the invaluable work of Special Olympics Connecticut.
