Liz Shilosky to Chair 2020 Alzheimer's Association Eastern CT Walk to End Alzheimer's

The Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter is pleased to announce that Liz Shilosky will Chair the 2020 Eastern CT Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

“This is personal for me, as with many others. I’ve lost my mom and grandfather to this disease and currently have a sibling fighting the battle,” Shilosky says. “I’ve seen up close what this does to families and caregivers financially, physically and emotionally.”

A retired nurse who spent much of her career in memory care management, Shilosky volunteers with the Lebanon Senior Center and is a member of the town’s Commission on Aging. She is a long-time volunteer with the Connecticut chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, serving as a public policy advocate and support group leader. Liz often has purple hair and purple polish on her nails so that when asked, she can share the mission and spread awareness of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Eastern CT Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on September 26th at Ocean Beach Park in New London. We invite everyone to join us at this inspiring, empowering event. Please consider registering your team today by clicking here.
