TVCCA’s Meals on Wheels Receives $20,000 Donation from Secor Subraru

Secor Subaru of New London presented the Thames Valley Council for Community Action (TVCCA) with a check for $20,000 for its Meals on Wheels program on March 22 as part of Subaru’s yearly Share the Love fundraising event to benefit local charities. The reception and ceremony, hosted at the Garde Arts Center in New London in conjunction with the Breezeline Winter Cinema Series’ final movie event, drew a crowd of over 200 who attended the on-stage check presentation prior to the film.

“Secor Subaru has been one of TVCCA’s strongest community partners,” noted CEO Josh Kelly. “Their support of our Meals on Wheels program is vital to ensuring that we can continue to provide nutritious meals to our region’s homebound seniors and disabled residents.”

In addition to Meals on Wheels, TVCCA provides community outreach, housing energy assistance, child and family services, senior supports, employment assistance, and nutrition services to economically disadvantaged individuals and families throughout the region.
