Intervention Specialists (Paraprofessionals)

LEARN invites candidates to apply for full-time openings for energetic Intervention Specialists in our magnet schools across New London County and our ABA and ED classrooms at our Ocean Avenue LEARNing Academy in New London.

This paraprofessional position supports the educational and behavioral development of Special Education students with ASD, working with a dedicated classroom team to provide instructional support, student monitoring and data collection.  Training in Safety Care techniques is provided.

Qualifications:

Level 1: Intervention Specialist: Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma and Parapro Certificate. Experience working with children with autism or emotional/behavioral challenges and their families preferred. Experience in ABA programs preferred.

Level 2: Minimum of an associate degree or two years of college equaling 60 credits or more or hold current Registered Behavior Tech and Parapro certifications. Experience working with children with autism or emotional/behavioral challenges and their families preferred.
