LEARN invites candidates to apply for a full-time opening for a Job Coach in our Outplacement Programs. This position provides appropriate school and community-based services to students enrolled in the LEARN Special Education Programs.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the development of community-based job sites in collaboration with community contacts, site supervisors, and under the supervision of the Transition Specialist and Special Education Teacher.

  • Follow the direction of the Special Education Teacher regarding the implementation of program accommodations and their development in the workplace.

  • Execute behavior plans and collect data while maintaining student privacy and dignity in community settings.

  • Implement a variety of instructional strategies during community-based learning.

  • Conduct transition assessments provided by transition specialist, special education teacher or related service provider in the workplace or during other community-based learning opportunities.

Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor's degree or hold Parapro certification and two years of college or hold current Registered Behavior Tech and Parapro certifications. Experience working with children or adults with autism, developmental disabilities or emotional/behavioral challenges and their families preferred. Previous job coaching experience preferred.
