Citizens Bank announced today that it will award grants to minority-owned small businesses in recognition of the value that they bring as a vital part of our communities. With this program, Citizens will award 100 grants of $15,000 each ($1.5 million total) to 100 minority-owned businesses (customers and non-customers) across the Citizens 11 state footprint, extending its ongoing small business grant program.

New London, CT – On June 14th, six volunteers from Citizens Bank visited Nathan Hale Arts Magnet School and spoke with fifth grade students about finances, the world of work and how to prepare for their futures.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of Junior Achievement with Citizens Bank, the 79 students were taught about the power of pricing and what it takes to be an entrepreneur. They September is Hunger Action Month (HAM), when Feeding America and member food banks, including the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center (Food Center) and Citizens Bank, United Way’s HAM sponsor, ask everyone in America to take action to fight hunger in their community. The Food Center is a program operated by United Way of Southeastern Connecticut.
During Hunger Action Month people can get involved by running a food drive, raising awareness, volunteering, making a donation, and wearing orange, the Norwich, CT – Dime Bank has announced that Stacey Taylor has joined the Bank as assistant vice president and branch manager of their Corporate branch, located at 290 Salem Turnpike in Norwich.
