Kevin Brown, President of NCDC issued the following statement: “We are thankful that the Norwich City council passed a resolution on September 20, 2021, to utilize American Rescue Plan funds to revitalize Norwich. Businesses both large and small and the city at large will benefit from this creative development program. We Otis Library’s 12th Annual O’tis a Festival is online this year! The festival of all things creative will be streaming live on Otis Library’s YouTube page on Saturday, November 21, from 10am to 3pm. Otis Library is taking this much-loved community event online for a virtual festival packed with entertainment and beautiful handmade crafts. Get all of your holiday shopping done from the comfort and safety of your own home. Enjoy the added satisfaction that you will be “shopping small” and supporting local New London Mayor Michael Passero and other dignitaries will be recognizing the incredible efforts of Rotary Clubs across Connecticut. Connecticut’s 92 Rotary Clubs and their 4,000 members have raised and spent more than $500,000 to help our communities during the Covid-19 crisis. This massive effort to provide PPE, food, and financial support is an unprecedented effort for Rotary, and it is far from over. Rotarians will continue to work hard, in their cities and towns, to help those who need it as we battle Mystic Seaport Museum and the Connecticut Library Consortium (CLC) launched a new three-year partnership in recognition of the enduring importance of museums and libraries to our communities. On behalf of the Museum, the CLC is managing an annual lottery for five free Mystic Seaport Museum Library Memberships, underwritten by the Museum’s Susan Lewin Memorial Library Membership Program.

Norwich, CT – Three Rivers Community College will be hosting Vets Connect, its annual veterans resource fair, a one-stop resource for jobs, education, health services, networking and more. This year the fair will include 40 organizations and 20 yellow-ribbon colleges. The Stonewall Speakers is a panel consisting of volunteer speakers from the LGBTQ Community who openly share their stories and perspectives in order to create an atmosphere where diversity is expressed and honored.
The Stonewall Speakers volunteers offer an opportunity for members of the community to become educated on Pfizer’s Groton Laboratories and the Clinical Research Unit, New Haven will support more than 60 programs in Southeastern Connecticut, the greater New Haven area, and southern Rhode Island through its 2018 competitive grants program.
Priority was given to programs that bring science and math to students from elementary through high school.
