HB 5446 Preserve Community Access TV 2024
To the Members of the Energy & Technology Committee,
I write on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut to express our strong support for Raised H.B. No. 5446; An act concerning funding for community access television.
The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut is very concerned with the steady decline of the traditional media outlets available to distribute important community business news. To this end, in 2024, the Chamber worked with our Good afternoon. My name is Rachel Lenda, and I am employed by the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut as the Administrative Partnerships Manager.
I spend the majority of my time providing the daily operations and business management for the Eastern Regional Tourism District. Additionally, I write grants for the Chamber, too. On top of my daily work schedule, I’m also a musician and a leader in Connecticut’s live music culture.

RE: SB127: An Act Concerning the Sale of Electric Vehicles in the State
I am writing you today to ask you to oppose SB 127: An Act Concerning the Sale of Electric Vehicles in the State, more commonly known as the Tesla Loophole Bill. This is the seventh year in a row that this bill has come before the legislature. This legislation hurts consumers and jeopardizes local jobs.
The proposed bill will allow out-of-state electric vehicle manufacturers to sell to March 4, 2021
